The cable car took us up the mountain in Sölden, where the picturesque elopement ceremony took place on the terrace of iceQ, the infamous filming location of James Bond – Spectre.

The crisp Alpine air stung their cheeks as they emerged from the cable car, the world unfolding beneath them. This was their altar – the majestic Austrian Alps, their witnesses, a chorus of silent, snow-laden pines. Imagine dancing your first dance in a setting like that!

After a photo session around the edges of the skiing slopes and at 007 Elements, the James Bond museum, the couple enjoyed a fine dining lunch above the peaks. After a short stopover on the natural dancefloor of the music festival in Soelden this week, we drove out of the valley to Lake Piburger. During our drive, the scenery and colours changed from winter to spring, and we ended the day at the shores of this mountain lake, mirroring the stunning scenery surrounding us.
